Zero-Knowledge Privacy Commitment

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026. The simplest and strongest privacy policy on the web: we cannot access, view, or retain your files because they never reach our servers.

Zero Server Uploads

All conversion computation executes locally inside your web browser using WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded over the internet.

Zero Data Retention

Because files remain solely in your device memory (RAM), when you close the tab or clear your queue, every trace of data is immediately discarded.

No Tracking Cookies

We do not store invasive third-party tracking cookies, user profiling beacons, or sell browsing habits to data brokers.

No Registration Required

You do not need to create an account, enter an email address, or provide payment details to use any converter on this site.

Detailed Information on Data Processing

1. File Processing Location

When you drag, drop, or select a file on Any File Converter, the file is read using the HTML5 File API and transferred directly to a Web Worker inside your browser. No POST, PUT, or form submission request is made to any web server. The processing takes place entirely on your device processor (CPU/GPU).

2. Network Activity & Static Assets

The only network requests made by this application are for static JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and WebAssembly binary modules (`occt-import-js.wasm`, `ffmpeg-core.wasm`). Once these binaries are cached in your browser, the converter can even function completely offline without an active internet connection.

3. Third-Party Analytics

We collect minimal, aggregated pageview metrics (such as visited URL and browser user-agent) solely to assess site performance and identify missing format features. File names, file sizes, and file contents are strictly excluded and never recorded.

4. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

Because we do not store, process, or transmit personal data or file content on any external servers, Any File Converter complies by design with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
