Independent Verification Guide

How Privacy Works

Don't just take our word for it. In under 60 seconds, you can inspect your browser's network activity and verify that your files never leave your computer.

Verify with Browser DevTools (60-Second Test)

Every modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave) includes built-in developer tools that monitor all outbound internet traffic. Here is how you can test our zero-upload promise:

STEP 1

Open Developer Tools

Press F12 (or Ctrl + Shift + I on Windows/Linux, Cmd + Option + I on Mac).

STEP 2

Switch to the "Network" Tab

Click the Network tab at the top of the DevTools panel. Check the option Fetch/XHR to isolate data transfers, and click the clear button (🚫) to reset the log.

STEP 3

Drop and Convert Any File

Drop any document, CAD model, video, or photo into the converter box on Any File Converter and click Convert.

STEP 4

Inspect the Network Log: Zero Uploads!

Notice that zero outbound POST/PUT requests containing your file data appear in the Network tab. The file byte stream was read, converted, and downloaded entirely in local memory.

The Airplane Mode Test

Another foolproof way to verify our architecture:

  1. Load anyfileconverter.site in your web browser.
  2. Turn on Airplane Mode or disconnect your Wi-Fi / Ethernet cable completely.
  3. Drop your file into the converter and hit Convert.
  4. Your file converts and downloads successfully without any internet access!

Why WebAssembly Makes Cloud Converters Obsolete

WebAssembly allows compiled C, C++, and Rust code to execute at near-native hardware speed within the browser's isolated JavaScript sandbox. By porting industry-standard libraries like FFmpeg and OpenCASCADE directly into WebAssembly, we eliminate the need for centralized conversion servers entirely. You get maximum privacy, instant zero-queue conversion, and zero bandwidth costs.
